Goods & Essentials

It’s not easy to find high quality groceries in the Northwoods or UP. Of course, I strive to support local farm-raised goods. However, depending on the season and availability it’s nice to have alternative options which include decently priced snacks n’ goods.

Ok, so the following isn’t related to healthy food. But, it is a must share, and ultimately is a healthier way to shop. Warning: this may become a new addiction. 🙉

Sorry, I’m not sorry! But if you’re all about the #thrift like I am, then go to Thredup stat! Online thrifting, “Yes please!”

Books…

The library at my home was primarily built through finding books online at Thrift Books. Thrift Books has practically an endless selection of books at amazing prices. I’ve purchased books related to health/nutrition, herbs, gardening, pregnancy/midwifery, homeschooling, and children’s books…the list goes on!

Last, but not least. Yet another one of my family’s passions is learning and speaking truth. As a homeschooling family striving to raise healthy children with healthy minds, there are a few businesses that produce some fantastic material which align with our family’s moral, ethical and social standard.

We got hooked on these books years ago, and have been sharing them ever since. If you have kids I HIGHLY suggest for you to get your hands on the Tuttle Twins book series. They have books for toddlers, teens, parents, and every age in between.
